Injustice, let's brake it down!
  • Closing ceremonies mark the end of the ride for 2017

The closing ceremony is always a bit emotional. Coming off the ride everyone is feeling the elation of victory, having raised money for Housing Works, having conquered at least a million hills. Also, nearly everyone has a tear in their eye. Some tears are shed over the enormous loss this community has felt. More then a few tears fall because this rolling brigade of warriors can see the end in sight. There's really no way to describe the feeling of standing at the heart of this crowd of individuals who have come together once more to share a brotherhood/sisterhood of both love and loss, over the course of hundreds of miles.

All that can be said, is that there is something here that words can't possibly capture... If you want to understand, you'll have to register and experience it for yourself.

  • On The Road | Day 3 (The Ride In)

The third day on the road is always an amazing one. You are weary, yet excited—sore, yet powerful. Your body has finally melded to your bike in one finely tuned unit—or it totally hasn't and each mile is a bit of a struggle. Regardless, you are surrounded by friends that you've either spent the last decade (or more) building a relationship with or new ones you've just met. One way or another, you are happy for the support, both emotional and physical.

  • On The Road | Day Two (Red Dress Day)

Everywhere you looked, you saw red today. A sea of red frocks along vast stretches of the open road. Traveling along with this powerful group of like-minded cyclists, all focused on one good cause, and with great support... there was only one difficult decision to make—which red dress could be best accessorized with a helmet and cycling shoes.

  • BRAKING AIDS Ride® Is off!

Day one is done and all of our riders are safely off the road—resting—getting ready for DAY 2. We'll post a select few photos each day to try and share the joy of each mile with you. Stay tuned tomorrow evening for another post of miles, smiles and maybe some risque riding kits...
